Softwash Roof Cleaning

Pressure washing a roof removes all of the roof protection. Tile roofs have a clear coat that protects the tiles from the sun and pressure washing removes this clear coat and makes the roof porous. Shingle roofs have granules that protect the roof and pressure washing completely removes this protection. Also, stucco is sensitive to pressure and can be cut and marked by pressure washing.
Our SoftWash system of cleaning is applied without the use of harmful high-pressure washers, but instead, uses chemicals to clean and kill all organic growth. It is safe and recommended by all roofing manufacturers. 
Black Algae, a common growth here in south-east Texas and surrounding Gulf Coast cities on tile and asphalt shingled roofs, has dramatic heat retention properties, causing the roof to absorb heat from the sun. As the organic growth absorbs and retains the heat from the Houston sun, they’re also creating a moist, damp environment underneath. The moisture trapped between the dirt and organic growth on the roof is also causing decay. Together, these two aspects can take years of the life of your roof, ensuring that you will need to replace your roof significantly sooner than planned.
